Pinaki M. Mukherjee works in Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. He is an Economist, trained in assessing the state and outlook of macroeconomic business environment.
He developed “Macroeconomic-Aggregator”, a copyrighted work accredited by Govt. of India.
Later build the Macroeconomic Environment Forecasting Engine on R, a software environment for statistical computing and graphics. In contrast with typical textbook models or economic theories, this large-scale forecasting engine use voluminous economic data and applicable forecasting techniques from econometrics and machine learning.
He is in the panel of RBI’s Professional Forecasters. He is also a lifetime member of Indian Association of Research in National Income and Wealth, a research body funded by CSO, Govt. of India and RBI.
Before Maruti Suzuki, he held position with Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy, NIPFP (an economic research arm of Ministry Of Finance, Govt. of India) and Deloitte.
Pinaki is M.Sc. in Economics and MBA in Finance. He received professional training from IMF on Macroeconomic Forecasting and from Stanford Center for Professional Development (Stanford University) on Machine Learning.
